SPECIAL COLLECTIONS: The Cuban Masters

Introducing Special Collections, a new Follow Your Dream series. 

After more than 725 episodes, I’ve observed that many of my remarkable guests are connected by common threads — including country, background, culture, style, experience, genre, and craft.

Each episode of Special Collections will focus on one of these common threads.

The first Special Collections episode is called The Cuban Masters. In this episode, I’ve highlighted seven of my musician guests who were born and raised in Cuba and began their musical careers there. Each came of age musically under similar circumstances - in a country with limited resources and a repressive political system. Yet they all went on to attain success.
