Leland Sklar is perhaps the most influential bassist in the rock era. He's toured and recorded with everyone from James Taylor to Phil Collins. Lee discusses his career and many of the people he's worked with. And Robert and Lee do a Songfest, playing and discussing some of his best and most famous recordings.

Robert calls Leland Sklar the “Babe Ruth” of bassists. Lee has recorded and toured with so many iconic artists since the 1970s. He discusses many of them, and Lee and Robert do a Songfest featuring a number of famous songs that Lee has played on.
Robert’s featured song in this episode is “Stockbridge Fanfare” from the album "East Side Sessions" by his band, Project Grand Slam. Robert chose this song because it’s a song about a small town in Western Massachusetts that he loves, and Lee is so associated with James, who happens to live nearby.
