Gered Mankowitz is a renowned English rock and roll photographer. Over a 50+ year career he’s photographed The Rolling Stones, Jim Hendrix, Elton John, Traffic, The Yardbirds, Chad & Jeremy and many more. He shot the iconic cover photos for a number of Rolling Stones albums including “Out Of Our Heads” aka “December’s Children”, “Between The Buttons”, “Got Live If You Want It” and “Big Hits - High Tide And Green Grass”. He has released many photo books and compilations and has won a number of awards for his photography.
My featured song is my reimagined version of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” recorded live in Serbia by my band, Project Grand Slam, and released on our album Greetings From Serbia. Spotify link.
