Ed Hinman is an author who says that he likes to explore open fields where violent things happened a thousand years ago. He’s a graduate of the US Naval Academy, and he served eight years in the Marine Corps including a deployment in Afghanistan. He earned a master’s degree in history, and he’s spent his post-military career as a bodyguard at a security firm. He’s now about to publish his first book, called "The Barbarian in You". If I have this right, it’s about listening to the ancient, primal, authentic you, as it nudges you towards the Vigor, Wonder, and Fellowship of your goal. His writing has appeared in Task & Purpose, Business Insider, and The Washington Post.
